Azure

Microsoft Azure is a cloud platform developed by Microsoft that allows users to build applications, run them, and store data on servers located in various data centers. The name Azure is derived from the French word "a`zure",  which means blue and is pronounced Ezhu. The platform was initially announced as "Project Red Dog" in October 2008 and was later released as "Windows Azure" on February 1, 2010. 2014, the platform underwent a name change and was rebranded as Microsoft Azure.
