CapCut is a beginner-friendly video editing software first made available in April 2020. As of March 2023, the software boasts over 200 million monthly active users. According to The Wall Street Journal, CapCut was downloaded more times than TikTok in March 2023. It was the second-most downloaded app in the U.S. in March 2023, second only to the app for Chinese discount retailer Temu.
