Web Design

Web design is a term that refers to the various skills and disciplines involved in creating and maintaining websites. It includes web graphic design, user interface design (UI design), authoring using standardized code and proprietary software, user experience design (UX design), and search engine optimization. Designers often work in teams, with different individuals covering different aspects of the design process, although some designers may cover all of them. The front-end (client-side) design of a website, including its markup, is typically called web design. Web design is part of web development, which also includes web engineering. To be a good web designer, one must understand usability and be familiar with web accessibility guidelines.
